But Elephants for Friends and family of all ages, it's certainly time to get charged up for big time fun and the high-flying Big Top adventure of a lifetime as UniverSoul Circus returned to my Hometown Newark, Opening Night, Tuesday, May 9th. UniverSoul Circus, let the church say AMEN! “When Jesus (Yeshua) says yes, nobody can say no!"

America's premier family entertainment attraction, no doubt, delivered a brand new exciting production for all to enjoy this season of 2017. The very moment I entered under the Big Top, the air was filled with electric energy!

Woohoo! Now in its 24th season, UniverSoul Circus returned stronger than ever, boasting some of the most phenomenal acts ever to grace their center ring. Returned by popular demand–viral internet sensations–The Fresh Clownsss, from Detroit came out with their lively and infectious dance moves in the way you expect! The "JuJu On That Beat" astounding dance will never grow tired. Thus, might be the reason why Fresh The Clown has "Dre' beats and a lap top" when asked: what's on your night stand?

Newark's own Honorable Mayor Ras J. Baraka adorned the audience with a Big Top welcome and "God Bless you and enjoy the show" and Seniors of East Orange were also under the Big Top, seated adjacent to mine and having the time of their lives.

"I’ve been coming for four years. Every time I come, I bring my great niece and nephew" says Yvonne.

 

However, although, often time, we must take the good with the bad: the facts of life: "Too long of wait time for the elephant ride. I suggest that the elephant ride take place before the start of the show and give me more of The Fresh Clownsss instead" protests Tracey.

"The intermission was long, at the end, it was all worth it" applauds Daniel.

Yes Daniel, so much FUN! That did not take away from my exciting and favorite and funniest moments: everything from the majestic colors to the up-close-and-personal, in-your-face Caribbean Dancers ~ HOT HOT HOT! Total audience participation, full-packed house and lots of hustle and bustle, lights, cameras, action. 

"Family entertainment second to none. You have not experienced soul entertainment until you see the UniverSoul Circus" proclaims Reverend Louis Scott-Roundtree (servant to the people).

For sure!... My God, "Hold up… Wait a minute!"… What! Bone Breakers Contortionists from Guinea! A Philly pretzel ain’t got nothin’ on d’em. Oh boy, that soul train line… Lol… "No more ladies, no more ladies please!"... "The ladies put it down the hardest". My winners are undoubtedly couple number 03 and making the band! I can't stop laughing. The animal talent never cease to amaze, as well as the all the winners of the kids dance contest; except, I confess, the animals rights protestors were challenging for some to ignore.

Needless to say, Flat Out Freestyle, the thrilling gets your adrenaline pumping and crazy Freestyle Motocross are still my all-time favorite.

And just when I thought I couldn't sit any closer to the edge of my seat… OH NO!... Hold on tight! Here we go… A UniverSoul First: Carlos attempted a daring and dramatic somersault on the outer side of the Wheel of Death… Will he make it???

Wow… one more beautiful, Featured UniverSoul First, ChinaSoul Flyers. The most spectacular, crafted and well-designed work of art rated as pure ingenious.

And leading the charge this year is Ringmaster Lucky Malatsi of South Africa, a multitalented entertainer who brings his unbridled energy to center ring, along with amazing and beloved pint-sized Ringmaster's Sidekick extraordinaire, Zeke!They really know how to work a crowd, even take time out to chit chat with a wheel bound young person. Now, that's UniverSoul!
